Halifax Community College is inviting students to take advantage of its Winter Mini Semester, beginning Monday, December 1.

The accelerated term, according to the college, offers a fast and flexible opportunity to earn college credits in just a few weeks — perfect for students looking to get ahead, catch up, or graduate sooner.

“We are excited to continue to offer Winter Mini-Semester — Flex Start Option — to a diverse group of students. We’re looking forward to students being successful during this accelerated academic term,” Vice President of Academic and Student Success Levy Brown said.

The Winter Mini Semester offers a selection of fully online courses that can be completed before the Spring 2026 semester starts.

These short courses are ideal for current students, visiting students from other colleges, and anyone looking to continue their education during winter break. “The Winter Session is a great opportunity for students to stay engaged, get ahead, or catch up on coursework. We’re proud to provide flexible options that meet students where they are and keep them moving forward," said Dean of Academic Affairs Julie Galvin.
