Halifax Community College has been invited to be part of the inaugural cohort of the North Carolina Community College Strategic Planning Institute, a year-long, blended training and coaching program tailored for rural college leaders.
The Strategic Planning Institute is a key component of the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research’s Advancing North Carolina’s Rural Workforce program, supported by a grant from Ascendium Education Group.
Beginning this summer, Halifax Community College will begin the process of developing a strategic plan that supports the local area rural workforce and expands economic mobility for students.
This work aligns with the North Carolina Community College System Office’s new strategic goals to build the best workforce in the world; align employers, students and colleges to future-ready the state’s economy; and transform the NCCCS to empower colleges and students for continuous success.
