Reverend Michael Mills and Lewis "Rocky" Lane Jr. were reappointed to the Halifax Community College Board of Trustees and Larry Perkins was appointed as a new member.
“Reverend Michael Mills is a true leader, respected for his wisdom and integrity,” the college said. “He has dedicated many years of service to the institution and his visionary guidance has been instrumental in its growth and outreach.”
Mills was also elected chair of the board.
“Mr. Lewis ‘Rocky’ Lane Jr. is known for his exceptional strategic skills and passionate support for education,” the college said. “With his renewed involvement, the institution is committed to delivering top-notch education and encouraging an innovative environment.”

The college said that Perkins will bring “dynamic leadership skills that will prove invaluable to our organization. His passion for empowering individuals and fostering growth are sure to invigorate our initiatives and expand our horizons.”
The college also expressed its appreciation to Michael Williams for his service as he decided to transition off the board. “Dr. Williams’ unwavering dedication to the college’s mission has tremendously aided the institution.”
