Four Roanoke Rapids men face fentanyl trafficking and other drug counts following the execution of a search warrant on Thomas Jefferson Drive off Highway 48, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Arrest warrants show the trafficking counts are related to the sale of more than 4 grams but less than 14 grams of fentanyl, as well as the sale of around 7 grams of cocaine. Another man, Jahi Jeffers, 25, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The four men charged with trafficking — Terrick Hyman, 26; Antonio Pritchett, 33; Andrew Jeffers, 28; and Jared Jeffers, 24 — remain in the Halifax County Detention Center. Major Anzell Harris said Andrew and Jahi are brothers, while Jared is their cousin.
Harris said in a statement that the Halifax Regional Drug and Gang Task Force, detectives, and patrol deputies executed the search warrant around 7 p.m. after several months of investigating drug-related activity focused at and around the residence.
Eleven people were on the property at the time the warrant was executed; those individuals were detained. A search of the property led agents to seize suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, items used to package and sell the drugs, and an AR-15 style pistol.
