The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Major Anzell Harris:
Crack in mouth
A 53-year-old Enfield man was charged Monday evening with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance after deputies observed he allegedly had crack cocaine in his mouth.

Corporal J. Morales stopped Curtis Carol Harper around 9 p.m. on Highway 48 near Eastman School Road for a violation. Community Action Team Sergeant D. Harrison arrived to assist. Deputies noticed that Harper had something in his mouth.
Morales arrested and charged Harper with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, no operator’s license, and driving without two headlights. According to court records, Harper has a pending district court date for felony fleeing to elude arrest, no operator's license, and an equipment violation. He was jailed without the opportunity for bond and given a March 26 district court date.
Meth possession
Around 10 p.m. Monday, Community Action Team Sergeant G. Martin stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of a supermarket near Highway 158 and Roanoke Avenue in Roanoke Rapids for a motor vehicle violation.
Martin identified the occupants as Brenanessa Love, 38, and Marshall Moseley, 34, both of Littleton. Martin requested a canine, and Sergeant N. Estes arrived with Rocko. Rocko alerted to the presence of narcotics.

Moseley was allegedly in possession of 7 grams of meth. He was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in the Halifax County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. He has a March 26 district court date.
Love was issued a citation for failing to dim headlights and was released.
