Three more people have been charged in the Monday morning stabbing of a woman who crawled at least a tenth of a mile to seek help.

In a press release sent early this morning Detective Joe Sealey of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said one person, Jerry Leonard Draper III, has been charged with accessory after the fact and was arrested Friday evening at his job. The 34-year-old Draper was arrested by the Greensville County Sheriff's Office in Virginia.

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Toni Renee Draper and 22-year-old Lauren Elizabeth Draper have been charged with attempted first degree murder and felony conspiracy.

They were apprehended by the Greensville County Sheriff's Office shortly after the man was arrested, the press release says.

They are being housed in the Southside Regional Jail without the chance of bond and are awaiting extradition.

The news release does not explain how the three are connected and how the two charged with conspiracy allegedly participated in the stabbing with Timothy I. Moran, who was caught Monday morning.

Major Bruce Temple declined to comment further on the press release when reached this morning,

What is known thus far the stabbing was reported early Monday when, according to a person who helped her, the victim crawled at least a tenth of a mile to the nearest house on Halyard Drive in the Edgewater subdivision, which is located off Thelma Road, just outside Roanoke Rapids.

The stabbing occurred in an isolated portion of the subdivision in a cul de sac and the woman was apparently left for dead. Halyard Drive is approximately three-tenths of a mile long with only two houses. The houses are approximately a tenth of a mile from the cul de sac.

The cul de sac is known as a place where people come to park, use drugs, conduct drug transactions and there have been reports of transactions involving prostitution in the area, Lieutenant George Evans said earlier this week.
