The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing person.

Thomas Daniel Jernigan, 85, of Jackson, was reported missing today around 11:30 a.m. after he did not return to his home as expected.
Jernigan was last seen on Thursday at approximately 11 p.m. after visiting with someone at Halifax Regional, the time he told family members he was going to return to his home.
He left HRMC in a 1995 red square body Jeep Cherokee bearing North Carolina tags XRN-6177.
He was wearing dark blue jeans and a khaki long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
He has early signs of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and macular degeneration.
He stands 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
He has a tattoo of barbed wire on either his left or right arm and shoulder area.
He has a large old scar on his chest from when he had open heart surgery.

The Greensville County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing person from the Emporia area.
Jamier Dashawn Leonard, 21, stands 5-feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds.
He was last seen Thursday morning at approximately 5:45 at 212-B Meherrin Lane in Emporia.
He was last seen wearing a white V-neck T-shirt, black jeans with red and white stripes on the side and black and white Nike tennis shoes.
He may also be carrying a red bag and have on white headphones.
