The town of Halifax in conjunction with Halifax Fire and Rescue and Halifax County will have its fireworks celebration Saturday. 

This is to make up for a rain out on July 4.

The event will be held at the courthouse complex on Ferrell Lane beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Rising Star Karaoke will begin the evening with beach, country and rock music.

Character Antics will offer children’s games and amusements.

From 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. the Rusty Hub Cap Band with Kenny Finney will play bluegrass and country.

Vendors will be at the event selling an assortment of food and other festival treats.

The fireworks display will start around 9 p.m.
