Enfield police arrested and charged three people in a Tuesday evening armed robbery.

Captain Chuck Hasty said the probe into the matter began when Investigator S. Coates responded to the police department to talk with a person wanting to report the crime.

The victim told Coates they were at their residence in the 300 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue South when they opened the door for an acquaintance, who ended up facing charges as well.

When the acquaintance started in the residence, two males pushed their way in.   

At least one person was armed with a handgun and demanded money. The victim’s wallet was taken.

Coates developed suspects and obtained warrants.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jerrod Ivey Brinson, 31, of Enfield, in the 4000 block of White Oak Road Wednesday.

He was served warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon and burglary. He received a $20,000 bond and December 18 court date. 

Brinson was also served outstanding warrants for resist/delay/obstruct an officer and driving with no license, charges which stem from a traffic stop in November from which he fled.

He received a $25,000 bond for those charges and a January 13 court date.

Tiati’Yannia Mayo, 21, of Enfield, who was the acquaintance, was arrested this morning by Hasty.

She was charged with aid and abet an armed robbery. She received a $5,000 bond and December 18. court date.  

Marcus Cutrai Caudle, 27, of Enfield, was arrested at the police department this morning by Hasty.

He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and burglary. He received a $25,000 bond and December 18 court date.
