Drug and weapons charges were lodged at a Weldon residence over the weekend, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Chief Deputy Scott Hall said in a statement on Saturday around 6:30 p.m., deputies executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Hurley Avenue.
Deputies seized two handguns — one a fully automatic Glock pistol — marijuana, plastic bags, scales and cash.

Corporal Michael Bishop arrested and charged Garfield Green III, 46, and Jermaine Anderson, 39, both of Weldon, with possession of a weapon of mass destruction, possession of a firearm by a felon, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Both men received $30,000 secured bonds.
Bishop also charged and arrested Carlos Harris, 27, of Roanoke Rapids, and Montrel Ponton,26, of Weldon, with possession of a weapon of mass destruction, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Harris and Bishop received $20,000 secured bonds.
Lieutenant Steven Casey and Sergeant Andy Cash assisted.
