Roanoke Rapids police continue to investigate an armed robbery which occurred at Presto early this morning.

Captain Jamie Hardy said a canine track by Officer C. Batchelor indicated the two men possibly got into a vehicle after the heist and fled the area of the store, which is located at 142 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway.
The robbery occurred shortly before 3 a.m. when the two men entered the store armed and demanded money, according to video footage reviewed by Investigator G. Williams.
The clerk complied with the demands, giving the suspects money from the register. They then fled the store toward the back. No one was injured.
