A Durham man was charged Thursday with fentanyl possession and other offenses following a traffic stop by a Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputy in Scotland Neck.
Tyreek Lloyd, 25, was denied bail due to other pending charges, Major Anzell Harris said.
Around 7:30 p.m., Deputy D. Bybee conducted an enforcement stop on Main Street in Scotland Neck.

Lloyd had an outstanding order for arrest for traffic violations. During a search of the vehicle, Bybee located a rifle, two pistols, fentanyl pills, and marijuana.
Lloyd was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and simple possession of marijuana.
He has pending drug and driving charges in Edgecombe County and a pending fishing without a license charge in Martin County, according to court records.
Lloyd is scheduled to appear in Halifax County District Court on July 1.
