A Roanoke Rapids woman was cited today with two driving infractions and served with a Northampton County warrant for felony larceny by an employee.

Major Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy D. Bybee stopped 25-year-old De-Vona Ussery for speeding and driving without a license around noon on West Tenth Street near Colonial Drive.

Bybee learned Ussery had an outstanding warrant out of Northampton County for the theft of 22 Stanley drinking cups, snacks, and drinks. The offense took place in December 2025, and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office obtained the warrant in March.

She received a $2,500 bond and a Thursday district court date in Northampton County.
