As of midnight Monday the Halifax County Health Department is aware of 1,921 confirmed tests performed on residents for COVID-19.
The following is a breakdown of those results:
321 positive cases since testing began; four deaths; 250 recoveries; 29 tests pending; and 1,571 negative test results.
The approximate number of current cases can be calculated by subtracting the total recoveries from the positives.

“Today we continue to show a continued downward trend line in positive cases reported,” health Director Bruce Robistow said in his afternoon update. “Please be reminded that we all need to continue to practice the three Ws and also continue to follow the governor’s executive orders. Let’s all work together to protect each other, wear a mask, wait six feet apart, and wash and disinfect hands frequently.”
Northampton County
The health department reported Monday there were 196 total positive cases of which 165 have recovered. There have been 15 deaths.
