The Halifax County Health Department today added five new positive cases of the novel coronavirus to its data.
The county reports there have now been 930 positive cases since testing began in March.

Data on recoveries and current cases is expected to be included in Wednesday’s report.
There have been 17 related deaths — 14 within the Roanoke Rapids area ZIP code; two within the Weldon area ZIP code; and one within the Enfield area ZIP code.
While five new cases were added today, the overall trend is decreasing, the health department said.
Northampton County
The health department reported Monday there were 421 total positive cases of which 364 have recovered. There have been 17 related deaths and there were 40 current cases contained in Monday’s report.
