The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Bobby Martin:
This morning shortly after 8 a.m., a business reported that a vehicle in a fenced area was stolen.
The vehicle, a 2004 H2 Hummer, was in the secured area of the Automatic Transmission Exchange on Roanoke Avenue and was removed. The white vehicle bears North Carolina tags RBN-3676.

It has aftermarket tires and wheels and has been entered into national criminal databases as stolen.

On January 15 Agent B. Council and patrol officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Street about an armed person.
Council reportedly noticed multiple items of drug paraphernalia in plain view and a search warrant was applied for and granted.
Kristian Wallace, 36, of Pleasant Hill reportedly admitted to being in possession of home-grown marijuana and received a citation, according to Martin.
Corey Lynn Carter, 31, of Roanoke Rapids, was charged with felony possession of fentanyl.
