The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 300 block of Hamilton Street Saturday night in which a home and vehicles were struck.

Chief Bobby Martin said police received a call shortly before 9:45 p.m. that multiple shots had been fired.

Officers learned that shortly after two victims arrived at the address there were possibly two vehicles which went by the house. Shots were fired from the vehicles. The shots damaged a home and two vehicles which were occupied at the time.

“The victims in this situation were very lucky they or anyone else was not hurt in this incident,” Martin said.

There are currently no vehicle descriptions.
