The Center for Energy Education will host a Grandparents Day workshop which will focus on ways to increase energy efficiency.
While the September 9 free workshop targets older citizens, the public is welcome to attend.

The workshop is from 10 a.m. to noon and will be held at the center located at 460 Airport Road outside Roanoke Rapids.
Led by Leroy H. Adkins, energy assistance outreach administrator at Dominion Energy, this class offers guidelines and tips to lower energy bills and be a smart energy consumer.
