Halifax County Schools has appointed Eboni Branch as assistant principal at Northwest Collegiate & Technical Academy for the upcoming school year.

A Louisiana native, the school system said she “brings a wealth of experience and a diverse background in education to her new role.”

A graduate of the University of Delaware, Branch has 22 years of experience in education in a career that began in the Maryland-District of Columbia area of Prince George’s County.

She also gained experience within the Chesapeake, Virginia school system and was most recently a math instructional coach in Gates County.

She has been named a Master Teacher, Teacher of Distinction, and was featured on WAVY-10 as an Educator of Excellence.

“Branch's passion for elevating educational institutions through teacher development and cultivating a positive school culture is evident in her approach,” Halifax County Schools said. “As assistant principal, she will prioritize forging meaningful relationships and providing unwavering support to both educators and students. The shared mission is clear: Creating engaging learning experiences and employing data-driven strategies that propel student mastery.

“Halifax County Schools students can expect nothing less than the best, as the institution remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering exceptional education.”

The school expects that Branch will embody a philosophy centered around student success and emphasize the importance of discipline and hard work.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Branch to our dedicated team of educators,” Superintendent Eric Cunningham said. “Her rich experience and commitment to student growth align perfectly with our vision for academic excellence and fostering a culture of success."
