Captain Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported that Thursday around 10:30 p.m. Corporal D. Harrison stopped a motorist for an equipment violation in Scotland Neck which resulted in the passenger Lashawn Moore, 34, of Woodland being arrested on outstanding orders for arrest and possession of marijuana.
The driver was identified as Todi Whitehead, 44, of Aulander.
As a result of the traffic stop the vehicle and occupants were searched. Harrison and Deputy K. Taylor located powdered cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana.

Whitehead was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license revoked, and rear lamp violation.
Whitehead received a $3,000 bond and has a Friday court date pending.
Moore was arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and the outstanding order for arrest.
Moore has a Wednesday court date pending.
