A Pleasant Hill man was arrested and charged today in a shooting that occurred at a convenience store outside Garysburg on the evening of June 8.
Captain Patrick Jacobs of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office said Montrell Johnson, 25, faces charges of felony discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling, two counts misdemeanor injury to real property and one count of injury to personal property.

Major J. Barmer, sergeants A. Trenz and W. Killian, and Deputy L. Batchelor located Johnson.
A vehicle and residence was struck by bullets during the shooting and during the investigation Johnson was identified as the shooter, Jacobs said.
He was also served an outstanding warrant out of Halifax County for misdemeanor larceny as well as being charged with carrying a concealed handgun that is believed to be the same weapon used in the June 8 shooting.
He received a $26,500 secured bond and a June 26 district court date.
