The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Major Anzell M. Harris:
On Monday shortly before 11 p.m., Sergeant D. Harrison was patrolling in the Hollister area when he noticed a vehicle that was emitting white lights from the taillights while the vehicle was in motion.
Harrison conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Carlos Caballero Aguilar, 41, of Louisburg.

Harrison was given consent to search and a folded dollar bill containing 1.2 grams of a white powder substance was located.
Harrison arrested and charged Aguilar with possession of schedule II controlled substance, no operator’s license and driving with white lights to the rear.
He received a $2,000 bond and October 24 district court date.
Thelma boating landing
On Monday shortly after 10 p.m., deputies were checking the Thelma boat landing on Van Warren Road when they encountered a suspicious vehicle.
The driver was identified as Vanodd Marquette Manley, 28, of Littleton.

Deputies found a concealed firearm inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and a pistol was located along with cocaine and marijuana.
Deputy K. Tillery arrested and charged Manley with possession of schedule II controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possess marijuana paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana.
Manley received a $3,500 bond and October 24 court district court date.
