Laura Avery Manning, director of bands at Roanoke Rapids High School, was chosen by vote to conduct the 9th and 10th grade All-District Band of the Eastern District Bandmasters Association next weekend at their annual clinic.
Students from the eastern district auditioned last Saturday for a placement in the ensemble.

She will rehearse with the students all day on January 31 and conduct the concert on Saturday, February 1 at 5:30 p.m. at Wright Auditorium on the campus of ECU.
The concert is free and open to the public.
