Danny "Dan" Keith Walston 66, of Wilson, NC, passed away Saturday September 22, 2018 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Halifax County on September 20, 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William Walston and Retha Bell Walston and a brother, Joseph "Buddy" Clinton Walston.

He is survived by his sisters, Virginia W. Wright and her husband, Randolph and Agnes W. Harris both of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Dan was a very loving and giving person. He loved to travel in his Blazer and he loved the beach.

He was the owner of "Dirt Divers" carpet cleaning and car detailing business. He was a perfectionist at his craft.

A memorial service will be held at South Rosemary United Methodist Church, 108 US-158 Roanoke Rapids, on Thursday September 27th at 3:30 with Rev. Sue Owens and Rev. Russ Collins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to South Rosemary United Methodist Church.
