It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Morgan announces her passing after an aggressive recurrence of breast cancer, on Monday, July 15, 2019, at the age of 66 years.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her son David and his wife Sandy along with their children Noah and Mia, her loving Sister Trish and her Husband Gary, her extended family, as well as all of her friends/ family who make up the Lakeland Cultural Arts community, as she joins her husband Dennis who was predeceased.

Ruth has been a lifelong resident in the Roanoke Rapids area until her recent move to Orlando, Florida to be near her son and grandchildren.

While it was a hard decision for her to leave North Carolina, she made quick friends with the other residents in her new community, made the most of the time near her family, and used her annual passes at Universal Studios to escape often in to the world of Harry Potter.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Wrenn Clarke and Hagan Funeral home with the Reverend Gary Kilgore officiating, and burial to follow at Cedarwood cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at 1:00pm, one hour prior to the Service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakeland Cultural Arts Center in Littleton, North Carolina. A GoFundMe has been set up for donations online at https://www.gofundme.com/f/lakeland-ruth-morgan
