William Howard Cox, 93, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Friday October 11, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Cox was born in Jackson, NC, the son of the late William Henry Cox and Alethia Brown Cox. He was a member of Chockoyotte Baptist Church.

Surviving are: one stepson, Vernon Vester and his wife Michelle, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one stepdaughter Patsy Bracy and her husband David, of Roxobel, NC; one brother, Gene Cox and his wife Lisa, of Gaston, NC; one sister Leathia Cox, of Roanoke Rapids, NC: four grandchildren, April Aycock, Renee Munn and her husband Greg, Jodi Brigman, Samantha Harris and her husband Marty, two great grandchildren: Mary Beth Aycock and Dylan Cooke, all of Roanoke Rapids, NC, two step great grandchildren, Jordan Brigman, Cody Brigman and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dennis Joyner officiating.  

The Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral Home and Cremation Service and other times at 401 Summit Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC.
