It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs. Charlotte Ann Rowland Campbell, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, NC was called home to be with her lord on Thursday, September 3, 2026. 

She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.   

Charlotte was born on October 18, 1952, in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Harold and Patricia Rowland. Charlotte was a kind, compassionate, gentle soul who exemplified strength and courage all the days of her life.   

After graduating from Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing, Charlotte worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 45 years dedicating her life to caring for others. Charlotte loved to cook and spend time with her family. She also loved to work outside in her yard as this brought her peace and happiness.   

In addition to her parents, Charlotte is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Danny Alvin Campbell. 

Charlotte leaves to cherish her precious memory her four children, daughter, Jennifer Parrott (Jay); daughter, Julie Campbell-Barnes (Tina); daughter, Jacqueline Campbell-Perez (Marcos); and son, Jason Campbell (Somer); her six grandchildren, Jay Valencia (Sadie), Alizé Johnson (Reid), Andrew Campbell (Rylee), Tyler Campbell, Nick Little, and Jenna Little; two great grandchildren, Danny Johnson and Maddox Valencia; brother, Michael Rowland; her precious Yorkie, Lucy; along with many extended family and friends.  

The family will receive friends at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Wrenn Funeral Home, 1015 West 5th St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870. 

A Celebration of Charlotte’s life will follow at 7:00 pm with Tina Barnes officiating. 

The Eastern North Carolina Nurse Honor Guard will present The Nightingale Tribute in honor of Charlotte’s years of service to others. 

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Liberty Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile in memory of Charlotte Campbell.
