Henry Wayne Jenkins, 77, Of Roanoke Rapids, NC died on January 13, 2023 at his residence, with his family by his side.

Wayne was born in Halifax County to the late John Henry Jenkins and Nellie Mabrey Jenkins.

Wayne was preceded in death by his son; Tony Jenkins, Brother; James Jenkins and his Sister Dorothy Griffin.

Wayne is survived by his Wife; Sylvia Jenkins, Son; Gary W. Jenkins (Wendy) Sisters; Charlotte Rodwell (JB) Ann Allsbrook, Grandchildren; Cory Jenkins (Meghan) Jenna Jenkins, Ryan Jenkins, Great Grandchildren; Aubree and Conner, and many Nieces and Nephews. Special friends Gene & Elaine Clemmons and Thad O’Briant.

Wayne and Sylvia were married for 57 years.  He loved his family and friends. 

Wayne was a Handyman and a hard worker, He loved working in his yard and garden and going to car shows.

Wrenn Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.  Graveside services will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ken Arrington Officiating.
