Clifton Rufus Edwards, 75, of Seaboard, NC passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Troy Rufus Edwards and Elma Johnson Edwards and brother, Robert Wayne Edwards. 

Clifton is survived by his loving wife, Susan Massey Edwards, step brother, Marshall Hudson (Esther), nephew, Jamie Edwards (Theresa). Sister in law, Janet Whitby (Spurgeon), brother in law, Kevin Massey, best friend, William Overton (Bonnie), and many loved nieces and nephews. 

Clifton was a member of Galatia Baptist Church in Seaboard. 

He was employed at Gay Implement Company for 47 years. Clifton served in the Seaboard Volunteer Fire Department where he worked for 30 years. 

He was an active member of the Seaboard Lions Club.

He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and camping. He is forever loved by his family. A special thank you to Emily from Gentiva Hospice. 

The family will receive friends at Wrenn Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

A graveside service will be held at Seaboard Cemetery on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Seaboard Lions Club.
