John Steven Green Sr (Steve) passed away on June 17th 2023.

Steve was a resident of Halifax County NC almost his entire life.

He was preceded in death by his father, JC Green, brother, Joseph Green, sister, Janet Stillwell and son, John Steven Green Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Green, sisters, Jeannette Green, Joyce Walls (Bob), Judy Levesque (Frank) all of Halifax County. He leaves behind two daughters, Dianna Vann and her three children Anthony, Shyanne, and Dawson, Vicky Jo Green and her two children, Brandon Green and Breanna Mattox, and one precious great granddaughter Lillith Green.

He also leaves a decade’s long best friend, Lee Merritt (Root) who was truly more a second son than just a friend.

Steve was a family man, he spent every Monday morning having coffee with his sisters at their mother’s house. He remained a kid at heart and never missed a chance to play with his grandkids or nieces and nephews.

Steve lived life on his own terms. He was a hardworking man with a passion for old cars and motorcycles.

Most people in this area have bought, sold or traded something with him or at the very least knew someone who did. He will truly be missed by so many and life will never be the same or quite as exciting without him.

The family will be having a celebration of life service on Saturday June 24th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Valley Community Church in Weldon NC.

Everyone is welcome to attend and family and friends will gather after the service at 183 Faucette Store Road in Littleton NC.

Please dress casual and comfortable in jeans or shorts and T-shirts.

They welcome anyone who would like to help honor him and his love for riding by riding from the church to Littleton NC after the service in his honor.
