Jesse Colin Lindsay, 24, of Roanoke Rapids passed from this life to the next on Tuesday, August 2, 2023 from a four-wheeler accident. 

Jesse was born in Shelby, NC and is the second of five children. 

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dale Hatchell and Tony Lindsay and is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Sonya Lindsay of Kernersville, NC, his long-time girlfriend Cassidy Massey of Roanoke Rapids, siblings Jacob Lindsay and wife Cat, Joseph, Jennifer, and Alexandria all of Kernersville, Dawn, his birth mother and siblings, Jennifer, Josh, Samantha, John-Jacob, his grandmothers, Patricia Hatchell of Roanoke Rapids and Mary Lindsay of Greensboro, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. 

Jesse was an outdoorsman, a skilled mechanic, and a hard worker. He was an employee of Fowler Crop Consulting where he spent his days doing what he loved as a research farm technician. He enjoyed the intricacies of his job which entailed operating and repairing heavy machinery and embraced all aspects of agricultural research farming. He moved to Roanoke Rapids to study and obtain a career in auto mechanics but discovered his passion for agriculture which enabled him to merge his love for mechanics and farming. 

Outside of work, he enjoyed all things outdoors. He loved trips to the mountains and to the coast. He spent many nights around the fire pit with friends and family. Jesse was quick-witted, tenderhearted, loved all animals, having a good time, and Jesse loved his truck.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5 at 2:00 PM at Rosemary UMC Fellowship Hall in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 3:30 PM. Officiating the service is Pastor Jeff Bullock and Pastor Keith Sexton. Arrangements are being handled by Wrenn Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall at Rosemary UMC.
