In his recent opinion piece on early voting, state Representative Rodney Pierce said he incorrectly stated that the 11 counties with the highest percentage of early voting in the 2024 general election gave Republicans 20 of 26 seats in the NC General Assembly. 

It actually gave them 19 of 30 seats in the NCGA — including eight in the NC Senate where they hold a supermajority and 11 in the NC House where they are one seat shy of a supermajority.
