The Roanoke Rapids High School's Cross Country Team had their 2nd Conference Meet on Tuesday at Granville Central HS.

The Girls' Team came away with the win as Caitlin Bobbitt, Catherine MacNichol, Aseel Qasem,Ella King and Brooke Ott rounded out the top 5 scores for the Lady Jackets.

The Boys' Team fell a spot this week behind Granville Central and Louisburg for the number 3 spot in the Meet.  The Top 5 Jacket Boys to finish were Allen Godsey, Daniel Acree, Andrew Vincent, Braxton Coggins and Matthew Price.

Post meet comments from Jackets head Cross Country coach Aubrey Coker, "I think we competed well today at a course that  we were unfamiliar with and different from what we are used to running.  We need to continue to push ourselves at practice and stay focused on improving our times.  The team as a whole did not compete as well today as we did at the 1st Conference Meet.  Many runners added time and that is not something we need to do in order to be competitive for a Conference Title. Overall we ran well but have room for improvement."
The next CC Meet will be on Tuesday, October 1st at 5pm at Louisburg.
