Roanoke Rapids native Skyler Moore part of weekend travel softball championship team.

The ten year old is a member of the 10U fast pitch softball travel team Cape Fear Storm based out of Angier.

The Cape Fear team went undefeated this past weekend in the USSSA Beat the Heat tournament in Wendell.

The Storm girls won three games Saturday and two Sunday to bring home the championship.

Moore batted .750 for the tournament and went three for three Sunday with 2 doubles and a single. She pitched one inning with 2 ks and a popup giving up no runs
