Littleton parade
Festivities begin in Littleton Saturday with a parade at 10 a.m. where all are invited to participate by donning red, white and blue or decorating bikes and wagons with the nation’s colors.
Those wishing to participate should meeting at Lakeland Theatre Company at 411 Mosby Avenue at 9:15 a.m.

Saturday events
Festivities in Weldon begin at 5 p.m. at River Falls Park.
The free event will be family-friendly and includes food, musical entertainment and fireworks.
Backyard Groove from Greenville will provide the live musical entertainment beginning at 6, performing blues, funk, soul and rock.
Food vendors will serve items such as hotdogs, polish sausage, fish, chicken, ice cream, funnel cakes, snow cones and more.
Abrams Amusements will be there with rides and games for children.
Zambelli Internationale will present a fireworks display at dark.
Attendees should bring sunscreen, blankets or lawn chairs.
Do not bring pets, alcohol, glass containers, fireworks, or weapons.

Meanwhile Saturday, the Longbridge Volunteer Fire Department will present its annual fireworks show at Eaton’s Ferry Bridge at dusk.
The display can be seen from boats, roadside parking or from the Watersview at 2107 Eaton Ferry Road or The Pointe at Lake Gaston, at 1865 Eaton Ferry Road.
Both restaurants will also be featuring live music throughout the weekend.
Boat parade Sunday
The annual Lake Gaston Holiday Boat Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Great Creek at mile marker 17. The parade will tour the west side of the lake.
Monday events
Festivities in Halifax begin at 9 a.m. as the state historic site will be open until 5:30 p.m.
The celebration on the grounds of Halifax County Courthouse begin at 5:30 p.m. The courthouse is located on Ferrel Lane.
The Halifax schedule is as follows:
5:30 p.m. — Rising Star Karaoke will play a variety of beach, country and soft rock.
Character Antics will offer a variety of games and amusements for children.
7 p.m. — Work in Progress bluegrass band.
8 p.m. — Military salute and performance of the Delegation Scene from First for
Freedom.
9 p.m. — Fireworks display by Halifax Fire & Rescue, Inc.

The annual Hobgood celebration begins at 6 p.m.
There will be music, hot dogs, ice cream, a pie eating contest, dunking booth, tug of war, corn hole, and a military tribute.
There will be a fireworks show at dark.
In Jackson, at the Northampton County Cultural and Wellness Center, Steve Owens & Summertime begin playing beach music at 5 p.m.
The Feature Attraction Band will begin playing at 7 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
