Man faces cocaine, heroin counts following raid

City County Task Force agents will continue investigating a reputed street-level dealer following the execution of a search warrant in the 100 block of Wilkins Street this morning.

Agent J.R. Matthews charged Maalik Raekwon Robinson, 21, with felony possession of heroin, felony possession cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The search warrant was executed with assistance from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Hazardous Entry and Arrest Team and the patrol division of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department, task force Captain A.M. Harris said in a statement.
Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Corporal P. Moyer and his dog, Bosco, also assisted in the search of the residence. Cocaine, heroin and paraphernalia was seized.
Harris said this afternoon investigation will continue.
The search was based on investigation by Matthews, which was fueled by citizen complaints.
Robinson received a $10,000 bond and April 5 court date.
