Charges have been dismissed against two people, one the victim in a breaking and entering case allegedly tied to the theft of alcohol and pills, court records show.

A charge of filing a false police report against Joseph Liles was dismissed Wednesday, according to court records.

Charges of felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods against Amber Evans were dismissed October 9.

Court records do not indicate a reason why the charges were dismissed and a spokesperson for the Halifax County District Attorney's Office was not immediately available.

Another alleged suspect in the case, Aaron Riggan, is scheduled to appear in court next week.
