Man wanted for Hobgood area larceny arrested

A Tarboro man wanted for larceny in the Hobgood area was arrested Friday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Detective Harold Phillips said information exchange between the sheriff's office and Tarboro police, as well as continued investigation by Halifax authorities led to the arrest of Milton Ray Draughn, 58.

Tarboro police arrested Draughn and Halifax Deputy S. Casey transported him back to the county, where he was jailed on $2,000 secured bond and given a July 30 court date.

Draughn was wanted on felony larceny counts after he allegedly stole items from the victim. After he reportedly stole the items he never came back to complete the work he was supposed to do.
