The City of Roanoke Rapids is now accepting applications for the following positions:
Part-Time Public Works Worker
An employee in this position performs skilled technical and trades work in the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. Job duties include but are not limited to grass cutting, leaf collection, street sign maintenance, and other duties necessary in the Public Works Department. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License.
Part-Time Library Assistant
Employees in this position will perform various duties at the Roanoke Rapids Public Library. Good interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills are a MUST. This employee will work the service desk, checking in and out materials, assisting patrons in using public access computers, shelving returned library material and other duties as assigned. Applicants must be available to work flexible schedule including days, nights and Saturdays. Approximately 10-13 hours total per week. Hours will vary. This position will also provide service assistance at the Roanoke Canal Museum.
