• Travis D. Harrell, 27, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 1 a.m. for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received a $750 bond and a February 13 court date.
Officer A. Green responded to a disturbance call in the no-hundred block of Hamilton Street where he encountered Harrell, who was allegedly found in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
Lieutenant J. Baggett and Master Officer A. Salmon assisted.
• Thomas Brandon Edmondson, 32, and David Wayne Edwards Jr., 19, both of Roanoke Rapids, were cited at approximately 12:45 p.m. for larceny and possession of stolen goods.
They were released until their January 9 court dates.
Officer S. Blythe responded to Walmart about a larceny, where Edmondson and Edwards allegedly took items.
Saturday December 31, 2016
• Kelsey Jaivon Parker, 24, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license revoked and speeding. He received a $1,000 bond and February 24 court date.
Officer H. Grimes conducted a traffic stop for a violation and Parker was allegedly found in possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and a concealed handgun.
His license was revoked at the time of the traffic stop.
Master Officer R. Ball and officers J. Hardy and G. Colson assisted.
• Jonathan Christopher Cavanaugh, 41, of Roanoke Rapids, was cited at approximately 6 p.m. for driving while license revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released until his February 10 court date.
Ball conducted a traffic stop for a violation and Cavanaugh was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
His license was revoked at the time of the stop.
Sunday January 1, 2017
• Richard Lee Clay, 38, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested on outstanding warrants at approximately 9 a.m. for larceny.
He received a $1,000 bond and January 10 court date in Nash County.
The charges stem from an investigation by Rocky Mount Police Department Officer J.B. Thompson.
• Jonathan Altvin Parker, 29, was arrested and charged at approximately 11:15 a.m. for possession of stolen goods. He received a $1,000 bond and February 24 court date.
• Carolyn Darlene Parker-Patterson, 56, was arrested and charged at approximately 11:15 a.m. for possession of stolen goods and displaying a fictitious tag.
She received a $700 bond and February 24 court date.
Grimes followed up on a report from December 31 about a stolen license tag.
The pair were allegedly found in possession of the stolen tag after it was discovered displayed on her vehicle.
Colson assisted.
• Willie Earl Williams, 44, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 10:30 p.m. for disorderly conduct.
He received a $500 bond and January 6 court date.
Lieutenant B. Norton responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Washington Street where he encountered Williams, who refused to calm down and quit cursing at officers and people.
Sergeant T. Tyler and Master Officer J. Benthall assisted.
Monday January 2, 2017
• Joseph Richardson, 50, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 3 p.m. for larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle.
He received a $2,500 bond and February 2 court date.
Green responded to a report of larceny of a motor vehicle in the 300 block of Jackson Street. During the investigation he and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Deputy M. Butler recovered the vehicle on Sam Powell Dairy Road.
Baggett assisted.
Wednesday January 4, 2017
• Leticia Shaunta Johnson, 33, of Enfield, was arrested and charged at approximately 12:30 p.m. for larceny, possession of stolen goods and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
She received a $2,000 bond and January 27 court date.
Salmon responded to Walmart on a larceny call and discovered Johnson and a 15-year-old juvenile allegedly took items.
Thursday January 5, 2017
• Marshall Leon Avent, 57, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 11:45 a.m. for driving while impaired and driving while license revoked.
He received a $500 bond and January 20 court date.
Deputy Chief Andy Jackson and Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Franklin Street near Twelfth Street and determined Avent was impaired and had a revoked license.
• Joann Leigh Stanley, 31, of Roanoke Rapids was cited for larceny and possession of stolen goods.
She was released until her January 20 court date.
Officer C. Fortier responded to Walmart on a larceny call and learned Stanley allegedly took items.
• Brandon Santoria Daniel, 29, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 11:45 p.m. for larceny, possession of stolen goods, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received a $2,000 bond and February 24 court date.
• Kenneth Coley Lee, 28, of Garysburg, was cited at approximately 11:45 p.m. for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.
He was released until his February 24 court date.
Grimes was flagged down while on the parking lot of Walgreens about people who took items and were leaving in a vehicle.
Grimes conducted a stop and spoke with Lee and Daniel.
Daniel was found in possession of the stolen items and Lee’s license was revoked.
Narcotics and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
Lieutenant P. Parks and Colson assisted.
