Virginia was the daughter of the late Charles Morrison Sanderson and Minnie Pearl Caudle Sanderson. Her husband James Joyner preceded her in death. She attended Open Door Fellowship and was a homemaker.
Surviving are: a daughter, Cathy J. Cooper and her husband Jamaine of Roanoke Rapids, NC, four sons; Charles W. Joyner and his wife Megan of Sterling, VA, James Coggins of Littleton, NC, Jimmy Joyner of Roanoke Rapids and Larry Coggins of Rocky Mount, NC. Five grandchildren: Grace, Caleb, Michael, Katrisha and William, Jr. Nine great grandchildren: Leon, Michael, Dayzsha, Ahviez, Alilah, Skyking, Kamerius, Malia and Kayden.
The family will receive at 476 Airbase Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Friday, March 10, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
