Virginia Mae Vaughan Bishop, age 91, of Roanoke Rapids, NC died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Signature Health Care of Roanoke Rapids.

Virginia was born in Halifax County, NC, the daughter of the late Stella Barnes Vaughan and James Vaughan, Sr.
She was a retired nurse and the widow of Kelly Long Bishop, who died June 20, 2001.
A sister Annie Vaughan and three brothers, Randolph Vaughan, Henry Earl Vaughan and Larry Wade Vincent also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Roanoke Rapids.
Surviving are five brothers: James Vaughan, Jr. and his wife Sue, of Rich 
Square, NC, Shelby Vaughan and his wife Brenda of Rockingham, NC; Wayne Vaughan and his wife Judy of Kelford, NC; Ron Vincent and his wife Cecilia of Douglasville, GA, and Bennie Ray Vincent and his wife Mary Lou of Ooltewah, TN.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, 1015 W. 5th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Sagala officiating.
Interment will follow in Old Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive at the funeral home, one hour prior to services.
