Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at   Crestview Memorial in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Mrs. Moran was born April 17, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa and was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene Spiegelhalter. She was a volunteer at Halifax Regional Medical Center for over 30 years and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Joseph Moran; two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughers, Patricia Stalder Clark and husband Reudi of Franklinton, NC and Mary Price of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Richard Clark of Raleigh, NC and Melvin Moran, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; one sister Jean Neely of Iowa; one brother Roland Spiegelhalter and wife Betty of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Cathy Smith, Mary Ann Price, Karen Spradlin, and Misty Clark; four great-grandchildren,Alia Spradlin, Kayla Spradlin, Michael Smith and Brandon Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the gift shop at Halifax Regional Medical Center, 250 Smiths Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870, Attn: Gift Shop.
