Vickie Myrick Camp

Vickie Myrick Camp, 55, of Littleton, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, peacefully at her home after fighting a battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a native of Halifax County, the daughter of William C. “Billy” Myrick of Littleton and the late Evelyn Pegram Myrick.  Vickie had been employed at Drugco Pharmacy in Roanoke Rapids since it’s opening.  She attended Enterprise Baptist Church in Littleton, NC.

 Vickie is survived by her husband of 30 years, James; her daughter, Lori, and their dog, Dixie, of the home; her brother, Tommy Myrick and his wife, Teresa, of Littleton, her niece, Ashley and her nephew, T. J.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church in Littleton with Rev. Darren Lambert, Rev. Greg Powell and Rev. Johnny Branch officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Littleton.

The family requests that bright colors be worn to celebrate Vickie, her love for life, and her loving, happy spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren County Rescue Squad, PO Box 448, Littleton, NC.
