Mrs. Garrett was born September 19, 1920, to the late Jake and Hattie Norwood.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. Garrett; her sisters, Christine N. Rawlings and Louise N. Love; her brothers, George B. Norwood, Sr. and Linwood (Sonny) Norwood.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Garrett of Suwanee, and her daughter, Gloria Giddens (John) of Conyers; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011, at 11:00 A. M. at Horace Ward Funeral Home in Conyers, Georgia, with interment to follow in North Atlanta Memorial Park, Doraville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
