Mary Josephine Suiter Glover

Mary Josephine Suiter Glover, 84, of Littleton, NC, died Monday, November 20, 2017, at Halifax Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

Mrs. Glover was born in Nash County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Etheldred and Kathleen May Suiter.

Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by her husband Julian Earl Glover and her grandson, Brett Aycock.

Mrs. Glover graduated and grew up in Roanoke Rapids, and graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School and attended Meredith College. She was the co-owner of Mary Jo’s Sportswear. She retired as the manager of Star Furniture after 31 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Dee Keel and her husband, Rufus of Chocowinity; Greta Glover and Mike Aycock of Littleton, Fern Pitchford and her husband, Eddie of Littleton; one son Joe Glover and his wife Tammy of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her six grandchildren, Earl Taylor Outland, Ann Cathey, Mary Cathey, Chase Alexander Glover, James C. “Jack”  Keel, Barren Aycock and his wife Jennifer, her three great-grandchildren Hayden Jenkins, Ares Pinero, Julian Chucci and John Aycock (Mother, Kristy Phelps) and special cousins and their families, Mary Ellen Babcock, Dick May, Edwin Mitchell, and Sidney Earl Mitchell.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Howard Guidry and Rev. David Fambrough officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Halifax Regional Medical Center Emergency Room Staff, ICU third and fifth floor staff, and Dr. Agbata and caregiver Velma Richardson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bear Swamp Baptist Church 31736 NC HWY 561, Littleton, NC 27850 or the American Lung Association
