A 21-year-old woman was charged Monday with solicit prostitution after agents of the City County Drug Task Force received complaints of activity over the weekend.

Captain A.M. Harris of the task force said the complaints came from a motel in the Julian R. Allsbrook Highway area of Roanoke Rapids. He declined to specifically name the establishment.

In a statement Harris said the complaints of suspected prostitution included several people coming in and out of a room during the day and night.

On Monday around 4 p.m. a task force member acting in an undercover capacity was sent in to follow up on the complaint.

Harris said the agent was reportedly quoted two prices for sexual favors — $40 and $100.

BFloyd

Agents arrested Brittany Nicole Floyd, formerly of Gaston.

She received a $1,000 bond and March 21 court date.

Roanoke Rapids police Officer Morgan Worrell assisted during the search of Floyd.
