Ms. Brantley was born in Wilson, NC, October 6, 1949 to the late Nathan Thomas Peele, Sr. and Emma Lee Moore Peele. She was a school teacher, having the ability to get the best out of her students which was evident, because she was Teacher of the Year in Robeson County for two consecutive years; also, she was a member of NCAE. She was an animal lover, having seven cats and two dogs. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, is her oldest brother, Nathan Thomas Peele, Jr.

Surviving are her son, Brandon Terry Brantley of Charlotte; one brother, Michael Gene Peele and wife, Delores of Roanoke Rapids and one sister, Sheila Smith of Elizabeth City; four nieces and three nephews. Also surviving are two special friends, Jani Locklear and, a little ways up the path, Marshal Miller.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
