He was born December 6, 1949, to the late Robert Tidrick and Ethel Eckard Tidrick.
Mr. Tidrick was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher for many years, sang in the chancel choir, and participated in the Men’s Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast. He was a lifelong employee of Patch Rubber. His hobbies included golf, reading and always working on a project. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a respected member of the community, and always wanted to know what he could do for someone else. He loved his God, his church and his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Butts Tidrick, of the home; his sons: Sean Tidrick, of Roanoke Rapids, Bobby Tidrick and wife, Julie, of Raleigh, and William Sparks and wife, Kelly, of Roanoke Rapids; his brother: Dennis Tidrick and wife, Linda, of Connecticut; his grandchildren: Luke, Grant, Haley and Hunter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 4, 2011, at 3:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. C. B. Owens. Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 3, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements, and other times at the home.
