Mr. Clements loved his family and loved going to auctions. He also dearly loved fishing, race cars, NASCAR, farming, tractors, and baseball.
He was born August 3, 1934, to the late Jessie Clements and Hattie Taylor Clements . Also preceding him in death was his wife, Agnes Lucille Clements; two brothers: Richard “Hot Rod” Clements and Alvin Thomas “Tom” Clements.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharan Rose and husband, Shawn, and Lisa Norton and husband, Jack, of Roanoke Rapids; his brothers, Nat Clements and Betsy Peterson, of Littleton, and Bobby Clements and wife, Derenda, of Gaston; his sister: Betty Byars, of Cary; his grandchildren, Travis Rose, Robert Norton, Jonathan Rose, and Lindsey Norton; his great-grandchild, Trent Rose; a special friend, Hazel Hobbs, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, at 11:00 A. M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Little and burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at 65 Bush Court, Roanoke Rapids.
